Hey guys! I’m Neshawn, aka The Preppy Pescatarian, and I’m so happy you’ve found little ‘ol me! I refer to myself as a self-proclaimed foodie, but I am a police dispatcher by day, puppy mom to my little shih-poo Jax by night, and fat kid at heart ALL the time. Here’s a quick overview of my obsessions (some of which I’ll be writing about) to help you get to know me better:
- FOOD! Okay, that one was probably obvious based on my website name and home page… but this girl is always hungry and D.T.E (down to eat). New restaurant being opened? You better bet your bottom dollar I’ll be there! Want to hang out with me? Mention food and I’m in! Inviting me someplace where there is no food? Uhmmm, that’s going to be a H E L L no from me —— *exits stage left* Cause you know, priorities.
- Traveling: I’m sure I sound like everyone else you know, but the fact is.. I love it. I spent the money I had saved for a down payment on a house on trips around the US. I budget travel into my bi-weekly paychecks. I have slowly but surely watched my savings dwindle.. but guess what? I don’t regret it one bit. I made a promise to myself to see as much of the world as possible during my fleeting time on this Earth.

- Fashion: Chances are, during the spring and summer you’ll catch me in allllll the Lilly and sundresses, and jeans with a cute top or layered look during the fall and winter. I have some items in my wardrobe from 5 years ago that I still wear and are classic staples (Sorry Marie Kondo, but they totally spark joy). It’s about knowing how to pair quality pieces together and switch up looks without being overly repetitive. Now can someone freeze my bank account when I see a sale pop up in my email? K, thanks.
- Self-Care & Wellness: I made a New Years resolution in 2019 to take better care of myself. With my mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing as my number one priority, I wanted to focus on small, attainable goals. Eliminating sweetener from my hot tea, getting more sleep, and meditating are just a few of the self-care practices I’ve implemented in my daily routine. I will say, I’m pretty darn proud of how far I’ve come in these short two months, and would love to help you all on your journey!
- A few other random things I love in no particular order… mugs, all things floral and sparkly, teacup pigs, cute puppies, pineapples, palm trees, hot tea, and candles.
